We have years of experience in delivering work related programmes on behalf of schools across the North West.

Schools

Tailored Education offer a structured, well-organised approach to ensure that schools provide an inspirational work experience programme that operates efficiently and effectively, while giving access to every student.
We are the delivery partner of choice for over 50 schools in the North West and pride ourselves in offering innovative approaches to work related learning that benefit not only students and schools, but the local community as a whole.

There are currently over 4,200 approved employers on our database. Each has been verified as suitable for students to work with, safety regulations are followed by employees, a safe working environment with good levels of supervision and health and safety guidance is provided.

Our digital system not only provides access to our extensive business database, but also tools for administering, monitoring and reporting work experience placements. This frees-up valuable school resources and we have robust procedures in-place to manage health and safety, safeguarding and GDPR on your behalf.

All placements are carefully selected taking individual interests into account, using our online matching system. Our professional and qualified team carry out full health and safety visits to registered companies also monitor student progress through company visits and regular communication.

Employers

Reach out to your local community, secure your future workforce and build your brand profile - while we handle the red-tape for you.
All types of businesses are always welcome on our database and this is a great way to:
  • Encourage the next generation of workers into your industry
  • Bridge skills gaps that affect you
  • Establish links with the local community
  • Deliver meaningful social value without expense
If you think you can support a young person in gaining valuable work experience in your organisation, or get involved in one of our events then we would love to hear from you.

To ensure student welfare, there are various pre-placement checks and we aim to make this as easy as possible, by guiding you through the process and always be on-hand to support. This includes demonstrating the scope and content of placements, health and safety and verifying insurance information. Your site(s) will also need to be audited by one of our safeguarding professionals.

If you still want to help, but your business doesn't lend itself to on-site placements, then don't worry as you can still get involved.
  • Good quality advice

Employers can work with schools to give young people relevant and good quality information to help them navigate through education and into a career.

  • Mock interviews

You can come along to one of our many careers and enterprise events to offer mock interviews. This requires minimal resources and commitment from you, but can provide a real difference for young people when approaching their  first interviews.

  • School talks

Sell your industry to young people and educate them about specific jobs and training requirements. This is also a great opportunity for your employees to develop their own skills.

  • Activities, project work and competitions

Offer fun and interesting ways to give young people a flavour of the world of work. These activities also benefit employers, as young people can bring a fresh perspective and new ideas to business challenges. While hands-on interaction is best, this can alos be delivered virtually.

  • Mentoring

One of the best ways of building confidence and employability skills in young people. It can also help employers encourage new talent into their business, while developing and motivating existing staff.

Charities

Social value is at the heart of everything we do, that's why strive to support charities wherever we can and actively involve them in our community activities. If you think we can support your charity, then we would love to hear from you.
The young people we work with can greatly benefit from volunteering activities, as can your cause. If you think there is an opportunity for us to work together on projects in the North West, then please get in-touch to see how we can help.
